When we came on Sunday @ 6:30 the place was buuusy. Had to wait 10 minutes , however they " turned" tables quickly. Very acceptable for the busy time.
Waiter-  with FULL restaurant  of people  he was still polite and very attentive .
Food- was great , fresh and authentic - many locals eat there so it's always a good sign.
    We will be back.

There is Nothing else quite like the meat from the Dong.

Wow the food here totally exceeded my expectations. I almost chose one of the many "sear your raw meat over a grill in the center of your table" type places.  The picture of the short ribs plus no reservations needed was what made me choose this place. First up Ordered the Korean pancake omelette thing which had green onion and I think there was shrimp in there too.  It was good, a little heavy but very tasty.  The other appetizer was the potsticker or gyoza or whatever they call it, little pork filled dumpling with dipping sauce. pretty good as well, but, where the meat is where Gong Dong rings my Gong. Those short ribs were the absolute best short ribs I have ever had.  Perfectly cooked, sweet, marinated in some terriyaki/barbq succulence.  They are sweet and savory and meaty. Using my chompers, I pulled every morsel of meat off those little ribs, leaving a pile of little oval bones in my wake.  We ordered the one that comes with rice.  Think it is about 20$ but plenty of ribs for two, perfect for sharing with your friend, husband, wife, etc. To compliment these amazing ribs they bring about 5-6 little dishes of supporting cast members including home made kimchi, pickled radish, corn elote, and spicy sliced cucumbers. All delicious in there own right but accentuated when paire with the ribs.  The restaurant interior is modern and clean, not overly fancy.  I recall much wood,   with subdued lighting, the decor It works, from me it had a calming effect.  It was my gfs birthday and Gong Dong was perfect to celebrate although we didn't try the desserts, the food and the atmosphere and attentive staff made it a great night for us.

    Food is incredible!
Super nice and clean and the staff is pretty friendly!!

Their Korean pancakes are amazing but so big that it's hard to eat anything else unless you share it with a few friends

SDG's complementary appetizer including kimchi is best around this area.
This place is always clouded specially in lunch time and specially on cold winter.  Almost every menu is tasty.  Main menu is Sung Dubu.  You can choose what you want to put into soup, slickness of soup and if you want to eat ramen or Korean noodle or soup with hot stone rice.

Hands down, best service I've ever received at a Korean restaurant in the States. The manager stood at the store door, greeting each of his customers. The hubs and I were greeted with 90 degree Korean bows and cheerful hellos. We were seated within 30 seconds on a Saturday night. Amazing!

Hubs and I ordered the seafood soondooboo and the LA Kalbi. Seafood soondooboo was decent. We had the "spicy" option, and I think we probably should've gotten the "extra spicy" version. It was a little underwhelming. The LA Kalbi was cooked to perfection. The next time we come, we'll probably stick to the meatier dishes.

On the way out, we were greeted 5 times by 5 different staff members. SGD service is where it's at! 5 stars for an all-around spectacular experience!!!
